Nintendo Wii and Netfllix
Published on Wednesday, January 13 2010
The Nintendo Wii is the last of the three major consoles to get online media streaming via Netflix. Now Wii owners can watch movies and TV shows on their Wii. The Wii is a system with limited video capabilities. This could make the feature to watch HD movies, out of the picture. Netflix on the XB360 allows others to see what you are watching and even allows your friends, over Xbox Live, to watch what you are watching. Of course all members of the party must have a Netflix account. Just like the Ps3, Wii owners will have to get a disc in the mail that has the software to allow Netflix to work on the Wii. Each time you want to watch something from Netflix, the disc must be in the machine. For many who own another console besides the Wii, the choice is easy. Utilize Netflix on a different system and for those who are families with only the Wii, this could be a good opportunity to have a family movie night.
