Yoichi Wada stated at the release party of Final Fantasy XIII, that SquareEnix might look into a remake to 1997's Final Fantasy VII.
As of recent, rumors of a Final Fantasy VII remake has been met with a brick wall. Many stating that it would take too long and that it is unrealistic. At the launch party of Final Fantasy XIII, Yoichi Wada was quoted that SquareEnix are "going to explore the possibility" of a Final Fantasy VII remake.
With all this talk about a remake, it could be just a matter of time before it becomes official. One has to wonder, will the remake be only for the Playstation 3 or could we see it on the XB360 as well?
Yoichi Wada has worked with Square before the merge and in 2003 kept his role as CEO once SquareSoft and Enix became one entity. Along with being CEO of SquareEnix, he is also the CEO of Taito Corporation, which is known for games like Space Invaders and Bubble Bobble.
